Part 2 – 3. writing(Media)

January 9th, 2009 by

When we say media, we consume every day, that includes radio, newspaper, magazine and television. I use radio for morning news and listening songs, but there are some program in radio which give information at more than normal amount about Islam. Magazines are very useful for me. Because we can find information that we could never see on the net or newspaper about music and daily works. I buy Bluejean and Rolling Stone magazines generally. Due to SU Campus i have never watched television for a long time, but i generally watch series like Avrupa Yakası or 24, At the late night Discovery Channel and MTV. There can be interesting programs on DiscoverChannel and MTV. For example, the deadliest alive in the oceans is jellyfish, i learned it on DiscoveryChannel. On MTV, we can see How a dead old car can be a today’s legend. A prgram named PimpMyRide modifies old cars to new ones. On the other hand, i dont like programs about someones’ personal life such as BiribiziGözetliyor in Turkey. I dont care about how they can live or bullshit. I just can watch these, if i’ve lost my daily life enjoy. They have very good personality an the first, but we can understand from here what they are really. Finally, they quarrel with each other. If i have to come clean, SU Campus is a benefit for me for stopping me to watch TV. I can easily watch my series from the net, if i need.

Many films are made for indicating features about anything. Social relationships and wealth are the head keywords for Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift. This film’s aura depends on how japanese juvenile is rich and how they dominate street against their citizen and foreigners. They show theirselves the King, they have the power of obtaining everything in tokyo streets. These can be commercialised, because they look like dark and mystic, so it’s intriguing. This film was originated from an article about street gang. Due to conjectural curiosity of people to street gangs, this article was determined to be filmed. That kind of films may make people from other countries go Tokyo and be a piece of these mystic athmosphere for a short time, like many people goes spain for flamenco show that they saw in films made about spain. Besides, there audiences will be consumer there, due to lower labour costs, things on sale are cheap and attractive to be bought. Anyway, advertising in films must be took into consideration, because in every film your eyes will catch an advertising. I don’t mean films for advertising for few things such as a burger shop, a coke or a car. We have to think the whole. If a film takes place in Tokyo, this film also an advertising for Tokyo. That’s why they made films, to be in front of the eyes of society.

Television: The Plug-In Drug

December 2nd, 2008 by

It is about addiction to TV. Specially, in America, this addiction is most affected. These people just watch TV, they dont care about its benefit. In these kind of families, relationship is very minatory for continuity of their family. They dont care each other. For example, father comes from work, eats dinner with children or not. After that he goes to watch TV or repairs car, if it has a problem. He never asks for children to wife. Also child has a problem like that, by associating with her parents, child is isolated from classmates. Child comes home, eats dinner while WATCHİNG TV, does homeworks, then watches the TV(films, series which parents thinks that are beneficial for him/her. These two are example of how TV destroys a family easily. Destroys or makes monotonous the subsistance of family. People also have dearth of ability to survive in lifeflow, because the reality which they see in Reality TV, isnt the same with real reality. Obtaining the life experience is more complex than experience in Reality TV.

What are we fighting for?

November 4th, 2008 by

Many advocates who are working on same-sex relationships assert that these kind of relationships have some necessities and benefits. Under the control of laws, couples have mutual rights and obligations. One of the most significant right is about financial support, such as to alimony and just division of property. After all, these rights can be re-created by couples and can be made more flexible to each others. Couples also want to get marriedi, because they want society know about couples’ strong commitment to an intimate relationship also to each other. These commitments have long-term partnership about domestic and economic cases. Taking the name of “married” is the most important thing, also it is the one of the benefits of these relationships. But same-sex couples dont exactly want to get the rights of marriage, they just wanted to be married by society. If society dont look them as they are married, these same-sex couples feel that they are second-class people, but that circumstance is not right, because all people must have the same rights.

Kitty has an impolite personality and she can be aggressive sometimes. This behavior affects and conducts Kitty’s life, but her father doesn’t like the life that Kitty lives. Having a lesbian relationship may be inevitable for Kitty because of father’s pressure on her about gender relationships. When her father learned Kitty is lesbian, she was nothing for her father. Father doesn’t like Kitty anymore because he can’t face with this shame. He also wanted Kitty leave home that was nothing too. If Kitty leave home, then come back, father can’t give in, he can also spit in her face easily. Because that was the most unbearable thing in the world. In conclusion, the gap between these two member of that family is increasing more and more.

A Rose for Emily – The House

October 11th, 2008 by

In “A Rose for Emily” story, the house is very effective to explain the atmosphere of that street where the story takes place at. Many times of story walk in the house which has strange antic decoration. That squarish framed house has a cupolas and spires which may indicates tight belief. And for all the dust on furniture might represent and keep alive the love for deaths. The dust on furniture wasn’t being cleaned. I think owners of the house think all the memories about themselves lies on the dust that covers every edges of the house.
